Hola!
I’m Leonie Mayne (no it’s not a stage name), so I had no choice but to go with the Lion/Lady logo, and together with the spark that ignited the vision gifted to me over six years ago, in turn has fanned into flame the fire that resembles the passion I have today for people and their hair. So as natural curly myself, Curl Revolution was fueled and Fire & Mayne was born.
I would love to have the opportunity to get to know, nurture and care for you and your hair so I welcome all textured haired gals and guys a professional chemical free (sorry no colour or perms) experience, where you will be treated with undivided attention and care at my home based studio, aptly named Lè Van, in the leafy suburb of Ferny Grove!
WHAT WE OFFER
at home preparation
Please ensure your hair is washed with shampoo and conditioner preferably the day before and free of oils, gels or stylers. *Leave in conditioners are ok and recommended!
Oh also if possible please refrain from having your hair tied up or pinned back so it doesn’t stretch out your curl allowing it to be in its most natural state. However I understand if this is not possible for those who can’t be seen in public this way, we can adapt and overcome …haha IYKYK … In other words, if you need to be somewhere important before your session and cant be wild and wooly and /or needed to tie your hair back, it’s not the end of the world !

Whether it’s just a light dusting, if you are growing your hair, maintaining length, whether it’s a reshape, a style that you have never dreamt of before or if you have a complete long to short restyle in mind, we can tailor to all your needs to achieve your desires to suit your unique texture and lifestyle.
The hydration and education is inclusive in this session so if you have any concerns about the condition of your hair this will be addressed here as well as a hands on approach in learning how to style your locks.
A recommendation of professional products suited to your hair needs will be offered and although there is no obligation to purchase it is an essential step to help maintain and provide nurture to your hair between haircuts.
You will be due for your next cut within 3-6mths and you will judge the right time if your hair has lost shape, or if your ends are getting dry or split, or its becoming too weighed down to manage. Your next session will be at a reduced price however If you prefer a Yo Yo hair cut (eg 12mths+ grow-out) bringing it back to the approx length of your initial session with me, then it will be back to the initial session pricing 🙂
Note: All curly cuts at Fire & Mayne are performed with a plethora of curl by curl and dry cutting techniques, working with your unique texture

Consult, Deep Cleanse, Hydration, Education, Treatment, Styling & Diffuse dry (*cut NOT Included)
This Hydration & Education session is a beauty if you want to find out what all the hoo ha is about without committing to a cut . You will be able to have an opportunity for hands on learning, you will find out the in’s and out’s of your unique texture and learn about products suited to your hair type. This service will include deep conditioning and/or protein depending on your hair needs and finished off with a full or partial diffuse dry.
Note: This service IS included in the Curly cut session but the Curly cut is Not included in this session.

While all the education will be directed to the parents, preschool aged children will have a ball! (hair washing is optional for preschoolers).
Primary school aged children will enjoy learning about their hair and the chilled experience while their parents will be soaking up most of the education, so this will be a bit of teamwork at home until it all sinks in!
High schoolers will love to be able to nail their hair goals at this sesh !
